Welcome to Aruba, where turquoise waters meet endless sunshine and the spirit of ‘One Happy Island’ invites you to unwind and explore. From its white-sand beaches to vibrant local culture, Aruba is a paradise waiting to be discovered

In Aruba, the possibilities are endless. Whether you’re drawn by the inviting warmth of its people, the crystal-clear blue waters perfect for snorkeling, or the island’s incredible restaurants and chartered boat adventures, one thing is certain—boredom is simply not on the agenda.

Must do when you visit!

Restaurants

Looking to enjoy a full beach day without the hassle of packing lunch for yourself and the kids? You have to try Big Mama Grill, located right on Baby Beach, so you can stay in the sunshine without ever leaving. With a menu that has something for everyone—even the picky eater who only wants hot dogs—it’s a perfect family spot! Or maybe you’d rather sip a cocktail with an ocean view? Head to Rum Reef Cocktail Bar & Grille, where the infinity pool overlooks Baby Beach, one of the most stunning beaches on the island.

If you’re craving homestyle food, Gianni’s Italian Restaurant across from Palm Beach is a must for date night or a family dinner. Enjoy fresh proteins, charcuterie boards, and even pasta made tableside in a cheese wheel.

And we’ve saved the best for last! Madame Janette’s is a must-visit on the island—a perfect place to indulge in a family dinner you’ll crave for months. Who knows? It might even have you booking a second trip before you leave!

Safety Tips

Let’s talk safety? Everyone wants to travel to somewhere new and exciting but there’s always that fear leaving your natural routine. Aruba is considered one of the most safest places to go in the Caribbean. It is extremely rare that tourists encounter crimes. Aruba is far outside the hurricane belt, so you won’t need to worry about disaster striking. Use normal caution and safety procedures and you won’t have anything to worry about!

My favorite animal is a shark, although you certainly don’t want to see one swim up to you on your vacation. Luckily there has not been a fatal shark attack in aruba in decades. Encounters a shark in aruba is incredibly rare and unlikely especially compared to other destinations.

When traveling to Aruba be careful of currents and always practice water safety, most of the time the water is calm and clear but aruba has been known to encounter rough water with strong currents.

Enough about swimming water, let’s talk drinking water! Aruba is the only place I’ve ever traveled where I actually drink the water it’s exceptionally pure.

Beaches

Let’s talk what your really here for and that’s the beaches! Eagle beach is a must visit when in Aruba it is located northwest of Oranjestad. The sand here is a soft white making the water shine even bluer in the sun reflection. Eagle beach usually tends to be less crowded than other beaches on the island. Along the entire beach you can find snorkeling, jet skiing and parasailing along with many more amenities. Eagle beach is ranked one of the most beautiful in the world, don’t miss it!

Okay now for my personal favorite, baby beach officially known as Klien Lagoen is the best beach I’ve ever gotten the pleasure of sitting on. Baby beach gets its nickname from being a family beach with shallow waters perfect for children. You can enjoy snorkeling here in rainbow coral. When my family and I got the pleasure of snorkeling here we were able to see a sea turtle swim right by us. Don’t over pack, head to the restaurant on site for an amazing lunch. Get there early to rent a hut for you and your family!

Palm beach is exceptional for those who want more to do than read a book on the beach or those who do! This beach offers snorkeling, diving and jet skiing. Maybe your into a dryer activity? Try mini golf, dining and amazing shopping at palm beach. With the casino being close by being a change of clothes for the incredible night life!

Best time to visit

Aruba is going to be just as beautiful no matter what time of year you visit. However, you're going to find the best deals from April through August and the best weather from January through May.

You can expect Aruba to have the highest temperatures from June through September, flights will also remain cheaper during these times.

Although Aruba doesn’t typically have natural disasters the stakes can be a little higher from June through November.

Take the time to plan a trip in advance as prices are always fluctuating.

Aruba is a small island stretching only 6 miles wide.

Airport

Aruba’s Queen Beatrix International Airport is your welcoming gateway to paradise. With modern facilities, easy customs processes, and direct flights from major cities, the airport makes travel a breeze. Its well-organized layout offers plenty of dining options, duty-free shopping, and quick access to car rentals and taxis. Plus, the U.S. Customs pre-clearance saves you time by allowing travelers to complete entry requirements before landing back in the States.

Animals

Aruba is home to many animals such as, The Brown Pelican,Lizards, Bats, Flamingos and many more. I had the pleasure of seeing an Owl, Turtles, Lizards, Donkeys and lots of colorful fish!  (bonus points if you can find the animal in the photo)

What to pack

Aruba is a casual and fun island, so pack accordingly. There is multiple fancy itineraries or something more casual it’s all about what you want! Below are some must haves!

  • reef safe sunscreen (lots of other brands are banned)

  • Passport

  • Hat

  • Beach bag

  • Comfy clothes

  • Aloe Vera

  • Don’t forget your swim suit and flip flops!

Pricing

Aruba can be done on a budget! I have traveled there twice, once in an expensive villa with a beautiful dock to jump in… this was more on the fancy side. However my trip in 2022 was more budget friendly staying at the coconut inn I had the same amount of fun and relaxation. There is always an option for all inclusive so be sure to check often as prices are always fluctuating.
